Well now that the 68 C10 is done and my grandpa has sold his flipper cars, there was space in the garage and you cant have that. So we have been looking at various cars on craigslist and facebook marketplace for a deal on the next project. Well sometimes old methods of finding projects still work. Found our next project by chance. On the way to look at something else and spotted the grille of this 33 Ford pickup sitting buried in this garage that had the door up. Had to knock on the door and ask if the truck could be for sale. People said maybe, so left our number and went on our way. Well got the call that yep they would consider selling it and said we could come look at it as they had cleaned all the stuff off it. So on Saturday my grandfather and I drove over and looked this pickup over and we had to have it as its the nicest sheet metal we have seen in years up for sale. Its as good as my current 33 pickup I have sitting in the garage. So a deal was struck and we hauled this pickup home. So here is the rundown of this pickup:

1933 Ford Pickup

All original 1933 sheet metal, grille is a 1934 piece. Only difference is the trim around the bars and the chrome little piece that ties into the radiator cap. Otherwise its the exact same as 33 grille

Bed has been shortened a little bit to get rid of the massive overhang these had stock

The spare tire well in the passenger side front fender has been removed and filled

Front suspension is an original undropped I beam axle, buts its out of a 35-48 Ford as the spring is positioned in “suicide” style (it sits in front of the axle not on top) has a stock wishbone as well. We think its a 40 Ford setup as that was the first year of hydraulic brakes which this has on it.

The rear end is a 66/67 Ford Bronco 9 inch unit with parallel leaf springs.

The engine and transmission is a 70s Toyota 2T engine and matching 5 speed. I can safely say that is the first thing getting pulled out and tossed out. The current plan is to swap in a 1956 Corvette 265ci V8 we have had on a stand for years and mate it to a early F1 3 speed manual trans to nail a late 50's hot rod.

The interior is very old school tuck and roll with diamonds. Its something very 60s style and its in pretty good shape.

Overall the truck is super shape, we have not found any rust so far any super crazy/questionable work that we typically find post purchase. Still expect a surprise at some point, but this is going to be a nice winter project.
