Coast Mountain Circle Route

So, I drove the route that we’re taking on the May 11th PNW meet. It took 7 1/2 hours in one go starting at 6:30am. While I’ve driven the Sea to Sky many times, the rest of it was a mystery to me. After driving it, let me just say...Wow. It is going to be fantastic.

The roads near Lillooet were a surprise though. Lived up to the “guaranteed rugged slogan” Many rock slides on the road, with BC road crews using a snowplow to clear the rocks.

Cold temps, with snow and ice near the road surface still. It will 100% be clear by May. Lakes were covered in ice with frozen waterfalls all over.

Also... in 5 places we will hit single lane road. This means we will have to yield to oncoming vehicles over 4 wooden bridges and once around a blind corner/cliff. So, be prepared for that.
