Went to the BC Vintage Truck Show which for the first time was combined with a vintage hot rod show. I didn’t take the truck this year, just didn’t get around to registering.
Way, way to many nice cars sacrificed at the altar of Chip Foose & chinese chrome. However, I had two great conversations with owners of two great cars. First, a long talk with a Buick Reatta convertible (1 of 600) who found the car in a farmers field. Car was in rough shape, but we chatted about the touchscreen which was kickass for 1990. He turned the car on so I could have a first hand experience with the screen. Pretty retro!
Second great conversation was with a 1989 Bronco owner. Like my truck, it has been a daily for much of its life, it has been repainted but is otherwise stock and has never seen a garage. We chatted about his 25 year ownership, the light off roading he’s done and the common wear items between our trucks.
