Settle An Oppo Debate: Fake vents?

Earlier on Matt Brown’s post, I made the allegation that I owned no cars with fake vents. I was challenged that the Fiesta’s fog light surrounds are indeed that. Is this true? I’ve actually thought about this before.

To be clear, I can see why someone might consider them fake vents, but I would almost consider them fake aero? Like the “rear splitter”

Also, what is really crazy is that the “fake vents” on the kia, are actually real. They are open and go directly into the wheel wheel.
