Home-ownership sucks, anyone can tell you that. Broken pipes, maintenance, fires, possible structural issues, etc.
But, there are a few things you can usually count on.
1) You don’t have to tether your house in place
2) You don’t live out an earthquake drill every time it’s windy
3) You don’t have to worry about falling in water when you leave your front door.
This person told me about their neighbour’s house’s moorings breaking and drifting away during a recent storm. My house never does that, because I live on the land.
