Yes. I think it does. This current obsession is actually the fault of our own ImmoralMinority who’s somewhat recent Instagram posts from the Costal Range Rally featured a very nice Focus RS with a hood mounted light bar.
Since then, it has haunted my dreams. I actually reached out to the owner for the product specs, but he never responded to me.
Lazer in the UK has a lot of shots of some of their very high end lights on Fiesta WRC cars, but frustratingly I can’t find a Fiesta mount on their product page or any specs online of what light bars and mounting plates (although I can get those fabricated if need be) they are running.
I think that it would look ok and add some practicality as I find my current light beams run a little low which kinda limits their range (although I do laugh when I turn them on in broad daylight and signs 3-4 blocks down illuminate).
If I wanted to do this, likely having something fabricated to mount two 10 inch or one 20 inch Baja Design OnX6 light bars to match the Baja Design Squadron XL pods that I already run. All in, probably another $1200 project.
Anyway, what does Oppo think of the astethics. Too much going on upfront if I had a hood mounted lights and pods on my grille?
Truth be told, the money would better be spent on finally getting the LSD, transmission upgrade (minor) or suspension setup change but it is fun to think about and a good excuse to post rally car pics.
