That time I over loaded the snot out of a single axle 6x12 cargo trailer, hooked it up to my ‘05 MRT with bald rear tires, and dragged it from Florida to Oregon through torrential rains, gale force winds, and a freak blizzard. I even had to remove the rear bumper cover to make the weight distributing hitch I had to use fit. The trailer was overloaded enough to chew through 3 tires. All together the rig weighed in at nearly 10,000 pounds.
4 years ago today I was plodding slowly across Texas. I’ve done sketchier things, but 0/10 would do again. A lot has changed in 4 years, and I think my self preservation instinct has kicked in since then.
