I used my very best social distancing, hygiene and purell/Clorox wiping techniques to venture out and acquire this big, ugly, heavy chunk of iron and aluminum. It’s an LM7 from an ‘03 Suburban, I have zero idea how many miles are on it, and I’ve never heard it run... But it was $288.

Add that to the $180 4L80 I’ve had stashed and the $15 harness, ECU and E-throttle setup and I’m off to a remarkably cheap start!

I also replaced the totally trashed rag joint with half of a Jeep XJ steering shaft welded in its place for $12.

I found this trash laying around in my shed, too. The -4 AN line should prevent me from overdoing anything.

So, I just need an oil pan, mounts, headers, a rear end, a driveshaft and pretty much everything else!
