My daughter is taking a photography camp next week at the zoo. The only requirement is to bring a digital camera that is not a phone.
I have this Canon point and shoot (pic above) that still works fine. It has different scene modes for portrait, closeup, etc. It does not have manual exposure control, nor does it have a viewfinder (screen only). I was figuring it will do great for a beginner class like this. I am emailing the camp to see if they have more specific recommendations. Most of you are recommending manual control of shutter speed and aperture, which this doesn’t have, just ISO settings. I will have to decide whether to stand pat or get something better.
