Sights to see

My kid and I sacrificed our health, nay our very lives to venture on our bikes into post-apocalyptic East Dallas and bring you shut-ins something to amuse your starved brains.

And also we were bored.

Here are some things we saw. First up is this cute little Golf Cabriolet. The wheels are a departure, but I kinda like them.

Next is a Ranger that is obviously used for work.

And this is a wild bit of construction for you. At first, we thought it was a house with interesting attached garage, but then we saw that entire building is a garage. It has several bays and an upstairs. My daughter speculates those upstairs spaces are living quarters. I think those tall doors are for a boat. What do you think?

Next, we went by the former Scientology Center. They used to have recruiting seminars every Wednesday until they closed it ten or so years ago. It used to be in an old spanish colonial styled mansion that is now demolished. My daughter is right now looking up its history on the Web. There was nothing left to photograph except a couple of sheds that homeless might quarter in. At least I would if I were homeless.

That’s all. I had to come home because the tread of my front wheel is peeling off. Good thing I have that new Gatorskin to put on.
