It’s bulk trash pickup day. The way this works is the big truck drives around, and this little baby drives along behind it in reverse. The guy in the turret operates the claw just like a giant arcade machine, except that he gets to scoop up lots of stuff instead of cheap stuffties. He drops about as much stuff as an arcade machine on first try too, but he seems to get unlimited tries, unlike my daughter. His bosses must give him a bag of unlimited quarters (also unlike my daughter).
Anyway, the best part of this vehicle is that the operator has a steering wheel in his turret so that he can drive the truck in reverse gear, steering the front wheels while he faces to the rear, instead of having to get out, move to the cab, and back the whole thing up to go to the next pickup. I assume he moves to the regular cab to drive on main roads.
Pretty neat, huh?
