A Trip to Mercedes-Benz U.S. International

The HQ for Mercedes-Benz US International has been operating in a small town just a little west of me for just over 20 years now. They opened in order to manufacture the original M-Class back in the mid-90s, and originally, their in-house “museum” reflected that. There was a time when the most interesting thing in the museum was a screen-used Mercedes-Benz ML320 from The Lost World: Jurassic Park. But that has all changed.

Recently, MBUSI’s facility was renovated, and the museum was transformed from focusing on the vehicles built in Alabama to Mercedes-Benz as a whole. I had been meaning to make a visit, but hadn’t gotten the chance...up until last Friday, that is. I was thoroughly impressed.
