I try not to post anything politics-wise here on Oppo, but I do like to talk about great movies that I’ve seen. Vice is one of them, in fact, it could be my favorite movie of the year.

As someone who grew up smack dab in the middle of the Dubya administration, you don’t get much of a realization of what’s going on until you grow up and look back. Seeing as I’ve dabbled in political history in college and have a passing interest in political climates, seeing this movie and the story it tells now just makes it all the more richer.

The movie itself is beautifully made, Adam McKay brought his A game, and Christian Bale knocks it out of the park (once again) as well as the rest of the supporting cast, made up of personal favorites such as Amy Adams, Sam Rockwell, and Steve Carrell.

Beware though, this movie is definitely a made from a liberal perspective. As a left-leaning centrist, I personally have no issue with it, but those who lean more to the right may find themselves angered by the film. You have every right to be. But as for me, it was as perfect as it could be.
