Formula Drift Long Beach is Canceled, Take a Look Back at 2019

As you can see in the video above, my pilgrimage to the city of Long Beach, California for 2019 Formula Drift’s first round on the calendar started during media day which I got a ride in a few of the competitors drift cars: Matt Field’s Chevy C6 Corvette, Michael Essa’s BMW E46 M3, and Dean Kearney’s Dodge Viper to be specific.

Since you will be missing out on drift action at the overall atmosphere of drifting for another month I thought I would give you a photo dump of some of my favorite shots from the event.

This event was sadly the end of Ryan Tuerck’s Toyota GT86 drift car. The car suffered a mechanical failure and went head on with a tire wall.

Dean Kearney’s team had put in some serious work to cool down his Viper after back to back battles with defending champion James Deane.
