I have finished my through review of the annual Car d’Alene Car Show and Cruise in Coeur d’Alene. I’m not a judge or anything, but thought the participants would appreciate my unsolicited opinions.
First place, “Cars I’d do terrible things to own” category:
Yeah, it’s a Superformance clone, but just look at it!
First place, “Most Creative Torq-Thrust Wheels”
The bronze looked great on this green Nova.
Tied for 112th place, Best Muscle Car
There were rows upon rows of Mustangs/Camaros/Chargers and at least two Javelins, so it was difficult to stand out from the crowd.
Honorable Mention, Best Knock-Off
These are knock-offs; the car, a Daytona Coupe, was not. supposedly an authentic Shelby Daytona just sitting on the street so any peasant can put their Twinkie-smeared hands all over it...
Best Flames
The picture really doesn’t do it justice, the clear coat was at least an inch thick.
Best Pin-up Girl
My wife was with me, no way I was going to take pictures of the pinup girls. In fact, I didn’t even notice they were there.
Double Award for Best Intake and Best Exhaust Manifold
A sweet Offy intake with these custom headers were fantastic.
