State Farm has been good to me and they continue to be. They first ruled in my favor, sent it to Root insurance, Root said it was completely my fault since “I took no preventive action”, meaning that her illegal merge followed by significant lying to police and insurance was perfectly okay. 2 months of fighting back and forth later, and Root conceded and rightly took responsibility. My rates stay the same, my car has been fixed for quite a while, and now I don’t have to be as sad about paying $200 to replace my battery this week.
