Drove to Jersey last night to pick up the 400 horsepower Outback. The car can be summed up by my brother’s and my reactions to the first full power launch.

Me: *uncontrollable laughter*

Brother: You don’t need this. No one needs this, but you especially don’t need this

Me: *more uncontrollable laughter* oh my God

Brother: you’re going to give someone whiplash.

We spent the night in southern Jersey, them this morning made a quick run to Virginia to pick up my brother’s new car, a 20,000 mile 2019 Elantra GT N-Line. The N-Line is a brilliant car and a future classic to be sure, and at $17k (plus tax registration etc) he got an absolute deal on it. Doubly so as it came with a set of Thule roof racks. He may be even happier about his car than I am mine.

We’re on our way back to our New Jersey hotel now, with the remaining drive back home to Mass tomorrow.
