If you recall, I had a couple offers to go back to the oilfield in fall 2017. One of them was with Halliburton to go back to frac in Denver Colorado. As much as I detested my job, at the time, I decided against taking the job. I eventually ended up in Greenville, South Carolina. Looks my decision not to return to the ups and downs of oil and gas was the correct one, as Halliburton recently announced layoffs.
One of the reasons I decided not to go back to oil and gas was because I really didn’t want to get laid off, again. I don’t think I have to mental fortitude to deal with being unemployed for 11 months again.
