I’ve had my E92 328i since March 2017 and I’m starting to seriously think about replacing it. It’s been very good to me, I just think I want something different. I’ve been thinking about a newer C-Class, but another serious contender might be an IS-F. I have had a decent amount of seat time in one, and I quite like it
This 2011 red IS-F is something I’m thinking about.
There are two problems I see with this, first is my 3 is paid for and I’m not super keen on taking on a car payment. Second is that I might need to spend a few dollars at the jewelry store soon; money that could’ve gone to a nice down payment.
I’ve also got a psychological problem with getting a loan on a car with that many miles. I could pay cash, but after my experience of being unemployed for 11 months, I like to have access to a decent amount of liquid funds. I also don’t like the 2002 infotainment system.
Other than that, I can appreciate the tan leather interior.
It is also a pretty great looking car. Not quite as good an E90 M3, but it’s up there.
So for 27k, am I going to have a new daily? No, I’m not.
That said, if they drop the price to around 22k, I think I might try to buy this.
I really want this, but it’s just got too many miles for me to pay that.
