It’s because I found myself shopping for another manual E9X. Apparently this generation of BMWs is my thing, I mean I do have two, after all. So the idea of not having one to DD didn’t sit right with me. Don’t get my wrong, if someone wanted to give me $15k for my 3 I would have sold it and bought this, but that wasn’t realistic.
That said, the tail lights have really grown on me since I first saw them in 2006. I was not a fan of the E90 when it came out, but I’m starting to find myself even liking these early E90s. The same goes for the front.
I didn’t like the mustache grills when they were new, but now I think it’s fine. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I don’t hate it anymore. I do want to say I always like the E90 M3, which uses coupe headlights and grills.
I did sort of want an auto so my GF could drive it, but she has expressed interest in learning manual, so I’m probably going to have to teach her at some point.
Speaking of my GF, I may or may not have spent more than this car on something shiny for her. So maybe I should just plan on replacing her Corolla with an E90 because that would placate my need to buy another E90.
