Unnecessary watch shopping

As some of you know, I like watches, in particular Rolex. In fact, what I wear most days is a Day-Date from 1973. So given my propensity unnecessary car shopping, you could assume I would also do plenty of unnecessary watch shopping as well. It’s a pretty safe assumption since I most certainly do.

Now, I understand that a cheap Timex or even the phone in my pocket is a much more accurate and affordable way to tell the time. I don’t care about that, it’s an object I enjoy. Like the M3, it was something I wanted for a while, I talked about it in this post. As with the M3, it’s superfluous, it’s not something I need, more of something I want.

Anyways, on to the watch.

It’s a Rolex with an pump jack on it, need I say more? Unfortunately, I didn’t work at Schlumberger for long enough for them to buy me a Rolex, so guess I’ll have to get my oilfield Rolex another way, even if they didn’t stamp SLB on the dial.

Sadly, I don’t have $4400 lying around to spend on a watch, so sadly, like many all the cars for sale I post here, it won’t be coming home with me. I’ve also spent more than I should on jewelry this year, but I think that was more than worth it.
