A thought occurred to me the other day: My phone and laptop both have biometric unlocks, so why can’t my desktop? A quick jaunt over to Bezos’ Place revealed that there’s a plethora of devices for doing just that. Two days and $19.90 later I’m livin’ the password-free life. I just sit down and swipe my finger and I’m in. I know I’m only saving like five seconds but I feel so much freer now.
This particular one I bought works plug-and-play with Windows Hello without any additional software.
