Went to cars and coffee on Sunday, same as every first Sunday of the month. Probably 400+ cars there, everything from McLarens and Ferraris to ratty old Subarus. Of course there was the guy who always shows up with his Alfa 4C, parks in the middle of 2 spots and plants his sign in front, and his lawn chair next to it while in the next row there are a couple of 488s and McLarens just parked in normal spaces while the owners walk around.
There were a handful of people with the signs in front of their cars like shown above. Obviously the image was found on the internet, not taken at C&C by me. I don’t get these signs. Especially on a stock car. Usually it’s some old muscle car or something, so I guess it’s a age thing, and my nearly 42 years places me outside of that demographic. Old muscle cars and 57 Chevys aren’t really my thing, I’d much rather see some a 70s Town and Country wagon, or early 80s Civic (both were in attendance and very cool) than 1 of 30 ‘68 Mustangs present at C&C.
Dunno, I guess I just don’t see the point. Your car is special to you, I get that, mine is special to me too. I just don’t imagine that mine is special enough for anyone else to want to sit there and read a sign about how awesome it is.
