The issue here comes down to shipping. It’s possible to get free online shipping if you buy enough stuff and go over $100. However at the local shop will likely give me a greater discount too.

A case could be made for time, fuel and maintenance, insurance for picking it up on my own. However $7 for the 40km ride would put me on the high end on of day insurance, mileage for fuel and yearly consumables. I really shouldn’t be trying so hard to justify riding to pick this stuff up!

Also gave me the change to swing a leg over the new Streetfighter V4 (non S) on the floor; it’s a good fit. If it weren’t for Covid it might have been a real consideration. Maybe if I’m happy with how next year goes... I reallllly want to demo one, that’s for sure.
