New Winter Beater

I mean, it’s a little bit of a beater, but it’s also a 4wd F250 with a nice plow, so I expect it’ll beat the crap out of winter as well. The plow came to it late in its life, so it hasn’t been plowed with forever. I’d NEVER believe that kind of line, except it belongs to a friend. He bought some land and a brand-new F350 so he’s kicking this one to the curb. It’s exactly what I need, capable of carrying my kids in the back seat (around town anyway) and it’s not 93 feet long. The extended cab just takes up 18" of space from the bed so that’s 6.5' and you’ve got a big cab instead. Perfect for a plow rig, and totally adequate for my winter truck needs - plus it’ll tow my boat nicely for the few occasions I do that.

It’s a ‘99 F250 with about 110k, 5.4 V8 (the older and “better” one). Clean interior.

It has a bit of rust down low but the frame is rock solid, always been oiled and lived indoors most of its life. We’re having a bit of rust repair done because of course. But everything - even the a/c - works as it should. The owner even had the internal mechanism of the tailgate totally replaced because it was wonky. All new brakes this summer too. Should be solid for us for a few years anyway.

Back in the 90's baby!!

Almost forgot to mention, $7,500 all in. Considering the average condition of a $15k truck around here (hardly perfect), this is a good price.
