Halloween 2020

My town did a very small “downtown” trick-or-treat this year, involving some of the businesses in the center of town. Everyone had candy out on a table, usually 3-4 pieces in little bags. It was great. A decent number of kids out and about, but spread out, and really, it’s a very small town with a single-digit number of COVID cases TOTAL since the beginning of all this, so it felt pretty safe. Oh, right, everyone had candy out on a table except the store:

I mean, who wouldn’t send their children in there? Why “Hee hee ha?” I mean, it’s Halloween, but... this is the kind of store with lottery tickets, vape, cbd, cigarettes, all kinds of crap piled all around the checkout counter. And the kids just walked in, “trick or treat!” and they hand a couple little baggies through the plastic shield... It was bizarre.
