Replica, Clone, Tribute, or...Backdated(?)

Replica - Pur Sang Bugatti Type 35. Every nut and bolt. Damn near 100% accurate.

Clone - 1970 AAR ‘Cuda. Take an entry level model (318 c.i.) and change everything necessary to make it damn near 100% accurate to a higher trim level.

Tribute - Like a clone but falls short, usually with regards to powerplant.

Backdated - Although it’s the first I’ve heard the term, I’d say the seller is using it incorrectly. It’s too vague. A backdated car to me would mean a clone created from a car much newer. Because of the inaccuracies with this car, I’d call it a tribute, or if need be, a tribute from a newer model. Rolls right off the tongue.
