They say I owe $193 for legal fees on my 2017 personal property taxes (I screwed up and paid late), yet for some reason a couple of unexpected checks (with no explanation as to what they’re for) from the state show up in the mail for $16 and change. So which is it - do I owe you money or do you owe me? Finding out anything online is damn near impossible, so I either need to call or go down to some office somewhere...
