So I was just having a thought and I realized that the hardtop isn’t included in the payload for the gladiator, and the JLU one weighs about 100 lbs. I figure it’s about the same for the truck. So if you bought a Gladiator Rubicon auto with a hardtop (very popular combo Im sure) you would have 1060 lbs effective payload.
Which would be a little less than this, a Compass trailhawk at 1067 lbs.
Now the gladiator can tow more and it would certainly be more tolerant of overloading but its just something to think about.
