It seems like each time a get a new (or new to me) car I look at the wheels and think “those will definitely be easier to clean than my last ones”.
Had that thought while cleaning the burb yesterday and the new wheels on it for the first time. Then I thought back to the first wheels that were “mine”.
From my 1987 Acura Legend. As you can see there are lots of spokes. On each wheel. And the inside part of each arch isn’t smooth, it has a nice texture specially designed to trap brake dust.

Yep, everything has been easier since those. But I will say that every one has enough nooks and crannies that none are really easy.
