Going to have to do something about this

Noticed this a couple of weeks ago during a more thorough washing. Other than a few minor spots of surface rust around the hood and trunk area, this is the worst on the car.

While it is bad, the car is parked indoors, and I haven’t even driven it in the rain yet, so I don’t think it is getting worse. I couldn’t poke my finger through even the worst spots, so it isn’t completely gone yet.

This will be my first metal working, but I have two things working in my favor:

-My brother in law has done body work on his cars, so I’ll have some help (and his tools)

-It is on the bottom of the door, so no one will ever see it
