My parents borrowed my 2014 Chrysler Town and Country to drive up to Nebraska from Houston. This morning when they started it up in northern Kansas they got a check engine. I flew up today (we are headed up to South Dakota pheasant hunting) and the code is P0128 - coolant below temp. Some quick googling and it seems like it could be a stuck open thermostat. The temp reading from the OBD scanner read 188, and I can get good heat from the heater. Coolant level is on the minimum end, but looks clean and clear.
We are planning to drive it to SD tomorrow morning, and at this point I don’t think it will be an issue.
Any thoughts / help? Other things I should check?
