Fears Unfounded

I was awakened this morning by a phone call from a principal where I interviewed Friday. She offered me a job teaching science and social studies for 8th grade at a more local middle school. I have to take my Praxis II for middle school social studies but that’ll be easy. The craziest thing? I didn’t even apply for this specific job. I just posted my résumé and test scores on the school system’s job website.

It’s a 7-mile commute along a pair of twisty mountain roads.

I’m down. The best part is the money is the same but benefits cost a couple hundred dollars less.
