My mother bought one brand new in 1985 at 19 years old, albeit she had a silver GT-S coupe. If I remember correctly it was a demo car so she got a good deal, and she went on to drive it for a solid ten or so years, before being replaced with a peak 90's plum Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer.
