I fell down multiple Wikipedia rabbit holes this week thanks to ttyymmnn’s history packed This Date in Aviation History. Surprisingly the most interesting thing I learned was not directly plane related, but that General Electric originally designed the mini gun. What don’t those guys make? But long story short I just wanted to share this picture of a GAU-8 out of an A-10 next to a type 1 Beetle.
