Another 3 will be built next year as Comac plans to get CAAC certification in 2020 and hopes to get EASA in 2021 or 2022.

However, FAA certification is going to be hard to get and may require a flight deck redesign.

Still, if it gets Chinese and European certification, Comac could theoretically sell the plane to the airlines who ordered it, as none are from the US. And it could become an attractive proposition for Lion Air, as the Indonesian lcc is looking to cancel its 737 Max order and the A320 isn’t really a solution for the immediate future, as Airbus (like Boeing) can’t build them fast enough.
