Of flooding and car roofs

Got some pretty intense rain today (including thunder and a tornado warning) and the high tomorrow is going to be below freezing. That should be interesting.

Anyway, I noticed this on a local news blog:

The Bargersville Fire Department had to rescue three people from the roof of a car at 2744 South County Road 225 West in Franklin.

No pics I’ve seen, but I’m struck by how difficult it would be on most cars to climb out on the roof. Anyone ever been in such a situation? Would you jump into the water and then climb up? Inquiring minds wish to know.

Meantime, I think I’m headed to that side of town to see if I can’t find a semi-flooded street to play in. I miss backroading, haven’t done it in a while.
