Best worst Jeep in the world

The original Jeepster was the anti-Jeep in a lot of ways. It was quite a contrast with the highly utilitarian CJs, Jeep Trucks, and Willys Wagons of the day. Jeep presumably had a much smaller rabid fan base at the time, but I’d wager it was not well-received by that crowd.

Of course, it is also among the most beautiful Jeeps ever designed, by Brooks Stevens, whose work helped keep Jeep relevant beyond the farmers and returning servicemen who Willys hoped would buy CJs.

Anyway, there’s a terribly affordable one near here, but more of a project than I can take on. Hopefully it finds a good home, and with luck I’ll see it at a future Toledo Jeep Fest.
