Making people happy

After having my road trip’s serendipitous symmetry spoiled this evening (more on that tomorrow) I stopped by Summit Lake State Park. It’s probably my favorite sunset spot, and I was fortunate enough to have a couple of unwitting models to practice silhouettes.

What made the moment sweeter for me is that I was able to share these photos with the young boy’s grandmother. I showed and then texted them to her, and when she asked me several minutes ago if she could share them with attribution, I cleaned them up a bit and posted them online so she could download full-sized copies.

While the title of this post might (and does) apply to her feelings, I’m happy as well. I’m glad I took them, I’m glad she liked them, and I hope the photos of the boy and his uncle are something they keep permanently.
