Terrible planning

I didn’t realize until much too late, but today would have been a spectacular day to crawl the back roads of southern Indiana. The fall foliage is peaking, the cold weather is rolling in, and it’s pouring rain, so the foliage won’t last and the stream crossings must be fun.

Heck, this is the first really colorful fall foliage I can remember in years.

Instead I’m working on a side project for my job that I’m increasingly convinced will never see the light of day. I could abandon it but by the time I get to the good spots the day will be over and the leaves fallen.

Don’t be like me. Get out there if the colors are calling.
