Spent last week camping and cruising southern Indiana (fortunately or unfortunately, I vacated my campsite at Lake Monroe Saturday before this ugly incident).
I regret I didn’t capture all the signs that caught my eye (especially the very colorful, very well-done, very large “Get the US out of the UN” sign in someone’s front yard), but a few of interest...
I didn’t see any wanton vulture destruction at this recreation area, but there were quite a few at my campsite thanks to the large group that didn’t clean up after themselves and left their food and trash out overnight. Classy.
This sign is significantly more comprehensible with the “slippery when wet” sign that’s supposed to be underneath it.
I commented a few years ago, probably here, that one measure of the quality of my day is how many of these I pass.
I thought this was pretty clever. Stopped long enough to take a photo that someone pulled over to make sure I was fine (or make sure I wasn’t causing trouble).
I really want to sneak onto their property some evening and fix this one. Or just get there early enough to enjoy one of my favorite breakfasts.
This was a really nice 2-mile hike out into the middle of Lake Monroe. Thankfully no copperheads to be seen.
I really have no idea what this is about.
