The fact that there was once a Best of Oppo series came up today when lamenting the new Kinja format which does its best to turn a community into a random collection of discardable flyers.
So I thought I’d experiment: just how hard would it be to generate a “best of” the past week?
Well, obviously, hard. Very hard. So hard I doubt I’ll do this again.
Nor am I going to call it “Best of Oppo”. If I do in fact try this again, I’ll come up with name of my own and a tag of my own.
Don’t hold your breath.
So, without further ado, a very simplified dump of posts from the past week that meet some arbitrary criteria I’m not going to share because who wants the grief?
(One criterion I will confess to: I’m trying to avoid the political posts here.)
(And pip bip: I apologize, but the fact that your overnight efforts help keep the site moving comes, well, overnight...which means your posts almost never get any attention and I have no idea how to find the ones that deserve it without spending even way more time on this than I am.)
