Vehicle ID request (big photo dump from southern Indiana)

Reposting for the daytime crew and giving it a new title in hopes someone will tell us about the cars in that yuuuuge yard, or that Buick for sale. I figure there have to be some interesting vehicles worth identifying.

For those who missed it, I’m back at my favorite cabin for a few days. No trick or treaters here! (But I did buy a bag o’ Nerds, just in case, not that there will be any left by Saturday night.)

It’s not often, in fact almost vanishingly rare, that I enable 4wd before tackling a public road.

Today, however, thanks to the remnants (I assume) of Hurricane Zeta which drenched the state, and thanks to once again finding a road neither the state nor the county particularly care about (but which local farmers clearly use heavily), I found myself staring down a fabulous soupy mess.

I’m no fan of mudding, but c’mon, a road like this doesn’t show up every day.

Further down you’ll see a field of dreams, so don’t miss it. And don’t skip the captions.

This is the head of Vandalia Road (more below). I should bring a large format camera to this spot next year for fall foliage and die a happy man.

Yes, still Vandalia Road

Vandalia Road is unusual for having not one but *two* stream crossings (same stream). Neither crossing is, obviously, likely to sweep even a Smart car away

I thought I had video of this protective bull trotting alongside, but sadly somehow I accidentally cut it off and I’m so unhappy with myself

The sun had been entirely hidden for a few days, only to magically appear just at sunset woo

These three photos are all of the same yard. Also parked in front of the house was a classic Beetle

Two tractors. Not sure which one is faster.
