What’s the greatest car that never was?

I nominate the VW Golf GTI W12 650. A twin-turbo, 6.0L W12, mid-engine, RWD hot hatch with a roof scoop.

It had as much horsepower as a Ferrari Enzo, and more horsepower than a Murcielago LP640, Carrera GT, and Zonda F. In a Golf. Absolutely insane...even by the standards of today’s Horsepower Wars.
