Paying tribute to Jake…
Many of you will be familiar with my insane fleet:
- 1976 Triumph TR6 (not technically mine but lives at my house)
- 1985 Jaguar XJ6
- 1998 SAAB convertible
- 2013 MINI
- 2016 Volvo V60CC
With the UNBELIEVABLE weather we had this week and weekend today was the first day I didn’t drive a convertible in over a week. In fact the Volvo hadn’t been driven for so long the battery was dead.
Changed the oil in the Jag for winter use (I run 20-50 in summer) and noticed one tiny fuel hose that looked pretty bad; I forgot to replace when I did the others.
Cleaning the garage I Rolled the MINI out and saw a puddle of coolant. Which on an R56 100% means cracked thermostat housing. Oh well it had a pretty good run, almost made 100k. New one ordered.
Ha, only convertibles in running condition. Even though today is our last day of perfect weather I had a ton of expressway driving to do so jumped the Volvo right quick.
