In other news I spent 10 hours trying to remove my CV axle. Succeeded in moving it 1/8th inch. Apparently the Camry/Solara has issue where I tube intermediate shaft bearing will seize/rust to the bearing mount in rust belt states. This makes it essentially impossible to remove by all conventional means, including rust penetration, heating and cooling cycles, hammering, and prying. I will be acquiring a 10 ton hydraulic wedge tomorrow to forcibly remove the stubborn part.
