So after a 5 month hiatus (mom died, vacation, home improvement stuff, insane work issues), I finally went flying with my instructor. Happy to say that overall, I did reasonably well, all things considered. Got discombobulated on the approach as there was a lot of activity (lots of planes leaving and arriving at KPAO), but we got through it. Now it’s down to preparing for the verbal exam, polishing up my skills and scheduling a check ride. Instructor says that right now, they’re scheduling for February, so I have some time to polish things up...
