Right, then!
First off:
Last week I mentioned that my in laws had a 2000 Z3 2.3 (which has a...2.5L) that they could not drive anymore due to age and the ailments that come with it. It has been sitting for at least 2 to 3 years in their driveway and they were hanging on to it for sentimental purposes, only. MIL mentioned that they would ultimately junk it (!) as none of us showed any interest in it. Truth be told, none of us ever thought to ask. So, after I composed myself, I said: “Look, call me before you actually junk it; I’d be interested in buying it. That way I can can get it on the road and it will stay in the family.” She called. I plan on getting it on Presidents day weekend - I figure I can take a couple of days off so I can do most of the work in their driveway (instead of my smallish garage) then tow it home for the rest.
Whew! Gotta start buying supplies.
