So, this will be a new experience. The Z3 has a Harmon Kardon 9 speaker system, of which most of the speakers have rotted foam. The stereo is a bit of a bastard in that the head unit is underpowered and relies on an amp with built in crossovers, so the system uses component speakers most of which are shallow depth. Finding something that fits and will work with the stereo is more expensive than I’d prefer, as is ripping out the stereo and replacing with new (besides I don’t like the look of new head units). So, I’m rebuilding the speakers, and have ordered new foam kits. The last time I did any speaker and stereo work was on my 1971 Ranchero...in 1989.
