So, every Memorial Day, I watch Smokey and the Bandit. I think it goes back to when TBS used to run it in memorial day weekend. One thing that’s bothered me as of late is in the beginning when Bandit drives the Trans Am out of the trailer. He stops on the ramp and then lets it hang on the transmission. I keep thinking “use the parking brake, dammit!” That the transmission experiences all sorts of abuse through the movie doesn’t phase me, however.
